Car Seats.......

I think the title says it all........oh wait.....I didn't put how much I hate them in the title:) I can't even recall how many car seats we have owned......I just did a quick head count and I think it's up to 10 now. We have had some expire, and had to change some so they fit in the vehicles and just obviously had to buy some because the kids HAVE to have them. I'm fine with that, I love my kids and want them to be safe and if that means buying 30 car seats over the time they are in them I will.



So with baby #5 the issue of car seats came up and we needed to get atleast 1 new seat. I was lucky enough to have a friend who was trying to sell her barely used infant car seat for a smoking deal and got that for the new baby. The even better part is that they had a recall on the seat cushion, something to do with the padding, and it has a brand new seat pad in it, never been used, drooled or barfed on. It's just like new for a fraction of the price......a deal that I love. Now came the other task of making sure Georgia has a seat that fits in the back between the 2 girls. The seat she is in now fits but the tether isn't long enough to go over the seat and eventually she won't fit in the harness system which poses another problem, because a booster can't go in the middle due to only having a lap belt. Anyhow, so this friend who sold me her baby car seat recommends this awesome car seat to me that she had to get for her kiddies......."The Radian 65". They are super narrow and your child can stay in the 5 pt harness till they are 65 pounds......perfect......I'm sold.....so I look online to see if anyone carries them locally......lucky for me the Royal Diaperer does and it's the same price as the online store that I had been on. So I pick up the phone and call to see if they have any in stock..... they have 1 but not in the color that we want. Good news, they should be getting more anytime. So here it is 3 weeks later, I have called the store atleast once a week checking on the status of the seats, being told a couple times they will try and track them and call me back, never to hear from them. On Friday of last week I had enough.......I'm getting into crunch time for the new baby to arrive and can't wait on them to maybe get the car seats in, so online shopping here I come. I go onto the website at noon on Friday and place my order......pay for it......it's actually a little cheaper then what I would have paid here......good for me.....I like to save money. By the time I went to bed, I had 3 email updates on the status of my order........it had been shipped by the middle of the afternoon and the ETA is tomorrow with my mail!!! I was shocked!!!! I thought it would take atleast 2 weeks or something crazy to get here.........not 4 days. So if you ever need to get something online I would highly recommend this site...... www.juniorbaby.com . They have won points in my books for sure!!! Can't wait to get the seat all set up tomorrow and see what Georgia thinks about sitting in the back......I'm sure the car rides will be alot noisier with all 3 girls in the back!!!

PS- 11:20am.....here's an update for you.....was laying in bed having a rest before the girls get here for lunch when I hear my doorbell ringing......I quickly wobble down the stairs to see the mailman at my door with my car seat.......I didn't order it until after lunch on Friday from Quebec and here it is Monday morning.........insanity!!! Thanks Junior Baby for the amazing service!!!!!!!!
