Please help me make it through the terrible two's..........

I'm feeling Melissa's last blog post tonight......feeling her pain.....I can relate to life with a 2 year old.....a 2 year old who is way to wise some days and way to mischievous other days. I really hope we make it to 3....

She looks so sweet and innocent.....

I have a lamp.....I love this lamp!! I don't spend my money on much for myself as I have to make it go 100 different way sometimes with 5 kids so..... tonight was not a good night. My husband bought this for me for my birthday a couple of years ago......knowing how much I loved it....I still love it....and all in the matter of a diaper change and putting the baby in his crib it was vandalized!!!! I came down the stairs into the living room to a very PROUD Georgia.....she had found her "pink marker".....it is actually a bathtub marker....but that doesn't make it come off any easier. She looked at me and said, " Mommy I found found my pink marker.....LOOK...." she was so proud of herself.....it took every ounce for me not to freak out.....I sent her to her room and just sat there in tears.....why?????? of all things???? Jeff went up and spoke to her.....she tried to blame Jacob.....after she came to say she was sorry. I got every story in the book....she told me she couldn't sleep....that Jacob didn't do it and she just did it cause.....it was all quite amusing but still doesn't change the fact that I'm going to have to go on the hunt for a new lamp shade and hope I can get one for a good price. I hope that our next phase in life is going to be the "terrific threes" because the "terrible twos" are going to do me in!!!!!

My favorite lamp with it's "new" shade.....

The worst part is she spun it and drew on every side.....

Too bad it can't be cleaned with a Magic Eraser....I had to take one of those to Cam's crayon-covered wall tonight.

I'm sorry Kathy!!

You might be able to get some fabric and recover it?

She is pretty darn cute.

You're a much better mom than I. I wouldn't have even tried to not freak out. So sorry. I hope you can find a new shade for it.

I feel for you! We have had so many incidents that they are just a part of life now. Winner's have really reasonable shades. Good luck!

I have heard that if you can use aerosol hair spray and a magic eraser it can do wonderful things. It doesn't hurt to try, right? Remember, this will be something that you can guilt her with when she's sixteen and you're embarrassing her!
