Things are busy....life is hard.....and I'm 3 weeks away from a trip to celebrate our 10 year anniversary......and sometimes I wonder if that day will ever get here!! I haven't posted lately because I just don't know where to start and quite frankly some things are better kept to myself.
Some highlights of the last little while.....
- Jessica was in the Kiwanis Music Festival for the second year in a row. Hard to believe she can do this already only having been in lessons for 2 years. She played 2 different pieces this year, on 2 different days. I got to go the first day and she was awesome. She scored an 86 and got a 2nd place certificate. How proud and excited she was and still is!! Jeff got to go the second day and she placed 4th with an 87. She was sad that she didn't get another certificate but that piece wasn't even one that kids at her level usually play. 3rd place was 88 and 2nd place was 89. So close......I can't even imagine how tough it is to judge that. We are very proud of her. I wish we had some pictures but you aren't allowed to take pictures inside. I will have to get one of her with it.
- I've started up with Stampin Up as a demonstrator. It's soooooo much fun and such a great product to craft with. I have a great bunch of friends that love to do it, which makes it that much better. I'm looking forward to the workshop we are doing this weekend in celebration of my 31st birthday. If you want to host a workshop and have the chance to earn some free products, let me know. We have a blast making cards and love to get others hooked on the fun!!!
-Report Cards came home......Parent Teacher Interviews were today.....and ALL 3 kids had stellar reports. They really excel in school and I'm so glad to have such hard little workers. I was especially excited to hear that in Jacob grade they have a list of words that she tests the kids on, to see if they recognize the words and Jacob was the only one to get them all right. He amazes me sometimes in the things he can read. Glad to know that video games haven't ruined him.
-Georgia continues to keep us hopping.......she decided to draw on the bathroom wall the other day with a dry erase marker. Luckily it came off but when she was asked about it she explained how she was drawing a picture of her, Sarah and Jessica. Sometimes I wish that I could tape her all day.....she comes out with the best things. Today she told my Mom that she has her own flashlight so she can search for ghosts. What a gal!!!
- Cooper is busy.......he is going to follow in Georgia's footsteps......lucky me.....LOL!!! He is such a happy guy and loves to empty every drawer in my kitchen on a daily basis. I've given up in cleaning it up until he moves onto the pots and pans. Somedays it's insanely noisy when both he and Georgia get the pot lids banging. They have fun and that's all that matters!!
- I got an EARLY birthday gift....I can't tell you what though as it deserves a post of it's own. I think I might have to wait until Monday.....seeing as that's the big day.......it pretty much is the best gift I've ever gotten....mind you I'm sure when I was younger one of the best gifts I got was a BOP magazine from my cousin Suzie with Jordan Knight topless and working out. Do you remember that one Suzie?? Oh the days of NKOTB......we had a million posters!!!!
I'm sure that I'm forgetting something....and I am trying to just post the positives tonight. Life is full of struggles and stress and I'm hoping that I can learn what I'm supposed to soon because it's getting tough to plaster a smile on my face and sometimes it's hard to keep believing that things are going to be okay.
I'm grateful for my kids......they love me no matter what, no matter how short I may fall sometimes at ever winning Mother of the Year. They are fantastic!!! And my husband.....who managed to out do himself this year in the birthday gift dept. I would have been happy if he had just paid for my new drivers license.....not looking forward to spending that $72. He takes care of me.....and loves me no matter how much I can drive him bonkers sometimes. I truly lucked out with him and can't wait till we getaway next month for some much needed R&R.
I will post again soon......with some pictures.....of Georgia's artwork. It's awesome!!! Until then may the wind always be at your back!!! Night.....
