what's been happening????

So I've started the year off bad with blogging and I really wanted to do better at it but I just haven't been able to make the time to write.....so here comes the update....

Christmas came and went super fast.....always seems to go too fast!! We had lots of family come and go all day which is always fun. Our big family gift from Santa this year was a "Wii" and we have been having so much fun using it. The kids are really good at the bowling......and love to beat us big kids!! It is surprising how tired you can get playing some of those sports games.Jeff also did some Christmas Eve shopping on the Future Shop site and got a great deal on a new 46" LCD TV......I could have lived without that purchase but the extra space is nice to have and it's alot more fun to play games on then the old TV. The kids enjoyed the holidays and still are playing with all their new toys. I managed to pull a few surprises past Jeff which is always fun to do. He really wanted the Cuisanart 4-1 Griddler and I told him that it just wasn't going to happen.......of course I bought it when it was on sale and we surprised him Christmas morning. I must say it was a great investment and we have used it alot!!! It sure beats BBQ'ing out in the cold. It isn't the same as BBQ but still pretty awesome. We stayed pretty close to home over the holidays......went to the nativity at the church......Boxing Day stuff at Mom's.....not too much!!! I managed to convince Laura to sleep out at Best Buy with me for Boxing Day sales.....they had my camera on for a great deal......so we sat out all night to get Dad one......he came and met us right before the store opened and we were in and out by 6:15am.......it's always good to know what you want. Future Shop had some simliar deals but this camera deal was the best by far so I was happy to get it for Dad. I was tired by the time I finally got home and Jeff was nice enough to let me sleep for a few hours. I would do it again next year for sure......

We didn't do too much for New Years......hungout at Jeff's parents.....played some games and ate some food. Jeff wanted to have a get together but I just couldn't get my act together this year. Next year we are going to try for sure......I've started shopping for next year already so I think I'll be back on top of things. The tree came down on the 1st.....it was the 1st Christmas tree we bought since we've been married.....and we paid alot for it but it was worth every cent and when it was all done and over with we would pay the same next year as it was PERFECTION!!! We managed to repaint the basement and lay new floor before the TV came.......we still have crown molding to do......trim.....finish some built-ins but what a difference. I haven't taken any after pictures so once I do I'll post some before and after pictures........or just stop on by for a visit to see!!!!

The kids are back in school now and Jeff is back to work......needless to say Jeff's first week back was not as smooth as we wanted.........we first had our Hot Water Tank go......what a headache that became......from switching to electric from oil and then having to go from fuses to breakers.....I was happy when that mess was all fixed. Jeff's work truck decided to act up and we had to fix some things on that and just for icing on the cake the computer was down and out for a day or two.......they always say bad things come in 3's......I believe it!!! On a positive note we got Jacob out of Pull-Ups over the holidays......all 4 kids had a sleepover at Nanny Jackie's and he stayed dry all night so we just kept up with it.....we've had a few accidents but it's been pretty smooth sailing and no back tracking. He has even discovered he can pee standing up......thanks Nanny J......it is pretty funny to see!!! I am glad just to have one baby in diapers.........speaking of my baby......the holidays were busy for her.....she decided that she could sit up and crawl on her own and decided to cut 3 more teeth.....we are up to 5 teeth now and I'm sure more are coming!!! She is just full of excitement and loves to explore. It's hard to believe that she is 7 months already!!

I'm sure I could write more......but I just can't think straight anymore.....sorry no pictures tonight.....no patience to wait for things to upload but I will try and post some picture tomorrow. My friend Lori is in town so I won't promise but I will try......until then.....keep checking.....
