So Jeff and I were KID FREE from Monday night until Wednesday night when we picked them back up. We went to "Taj Mahal" on Monday night and the food was exquisite!!! We are never disappointed when we go there and it's the best place around for Indian food. On Tuesday we ventured out on the hunt for a loveseat for our basement. Our futon has been a source of discomfort lately and after Jeff's constant back pain for 2 days we decided it had to go. We did manage to find one that we liked.......and it was a steal.......1/3 of the regular price. We got to bring it home right away as Jeff had his work truck and what a nice addition it is to the basement. Our futon was taken apart with a sledge hammer but it is gone. We put the mattress in storage which we can grab if we ever need it for company. Since getting it the kids have come home and they definitely approve!!! Back to Tuesday......we went to Kababji for lunch......it is a Lebanese Place in Burnside and it is phenomanal. Jeff had one of their plated meals while I had a wrap........I could eat there wraps every day.........they fill you more then you could imagine and are just beyond tasty. One of these days I'm going to write a blog just about the good restaurants around town. Anyone who knows us , knows that we LOVE to try other cuisines and very rarely go out for "normal" food. It's not a bad thing as we cook some of it at home and our kids love to eat it!!! Tuesday night we ventured back out to Dartmouth Crossings to do some shopping. We ended up stocking up on some pants at Tommy Hilfiger.....2 pairs for Jeff and 3 for me........so excited!!! I had to take all of mine into the tailors because I don't have crazy long legs but I LOVE them. I got the most comfy pair of jeans and 2 different pairs of khakis. I think I'll be buying all my jeans there from now on.....they have my Old Navy ones beat by a mile. They have some capris there that are next on my list to buy but I'm waiting for the weather to warm up and for the sales to come out. When they have their sales you can get some cheap clothes!!! After shopping we came home to watch American Idol and the movie "August Rush".....love that movie......if you haven't seen it go and rent it!!!! Our friends Darren and Lesley came over to watch with us and it always makes for an entertaining evening and lots of laughter. Thanks guys!!! Wednesday we didn't do too much......some more shopping.....Jeff got a new belt at GAP for his pants. I made some lists of things that the kids are going to need and will start to pick them up over time. It was a fun anniversary this year......a few new treats for ourselves......we are starting a couple different "trip" funds this year......and will hopefully watch those grow.....and going to just take it easy. We have some more renos that need to be done around here......we have started picking up things for the bathroom upstairs as it's time to tear it apart. We have started to "think" about a bigger house and we'll just wait and see when that happens. Until then we fix and de-junk.......garbage day is my favorite day of the week!!! I will try and post some pictures from the kids sleepovers but for now all I have is a picture of the comfy new loveseat........hope everyone else is having a fun March Break!!!! Ours has been GREAT!!!

Leather is the only way to go with kids........love it!!!
I almost forgot.....got some cool new Nike sneakers at MEC......they are called Soaker Shoes as they have drainholes in the bottom and are super comfy!!! They'll be great for canoeing and kayaking this summer!!! You also can't beat the deal.....regular $95 on for $29......yahoo!!

wow, sounds like you got lots of deals this past week. i love the sales!
i wish i coudl go pant shopping, or regular shopping at all, but i am stuck in the little maternity section a little longer :)
nice to see you got a new couch. i agree with leather being awesome. easy to clean!!!
I'm not a fan of Old Navy's pants either. I'm glad you got to spend time with your hubby for a few days! Back in our house, we had microfiber sofas in the living room, and a leather sofa in the family room. When we had to downsize, we chose to keep the leather one...I was sad, but it was worth it when Cam threw up all over it a few months ago!!!! Glad to see a trip fund being set up....come on over!! And bring Karen with you cuz that girl is too much fun!!
I'm not a huge Old Navy pant fan either. Love the couch! I love our leather one, you'll have to come over to see it. They're great and super easy when thrown up on!! happy anniversary!
I must say, we were curious as to what we were going to sit on when we came over. I told Darren to go up tp the attic and get the camp chairs when you told me Jeff dismantled the futon.I was surprised and relieved to see the sofa. It looks great in the playroom. It certainly goes well with the decor!
Happy ANNIVERSARY...although I already passed that wish along... I hope you enjoyed our gift of a child free night...it sounds like it and we are glad we could help. You guys definitely deserve the break and I'm so glad you guys were able to treat yourselves to some yummy food and some new duds!! The couch looks great and we can't wait to come over and sit on it...some day we'll up-grade to leather but for now we are still in love with our other sofas. I think the new sneeks are super cute, I want to see them in person. Anyway I'm going to stop rambling on here...thanks for all the chats lately...it's been really great you are the best big sister!! Love you!
Wow, you're loving March break this year aren't you! Some kidless nights I bet were great! Good job too on your deals! I love getting a good deal! For some reason all of your pictures are not showing up for me. I'd love to see the shoes! We have a big shoe obsession in our family!!!
well that just makes me want to shop!! Love the new loveseat! I totally think that you should post all your fav restaurants and also what you like to get there. Because I find the reason I don't go in those places is because I'm lost as to what to order and I don't want to waste my Money so we always go for what we know.
wow!! no kids for a few days. that blows my mind. i should try that out some time. i don't know if our babysitters are ready for both kids overnight yet.
You are so lucky to have your Mom and Sister so close and that they are willing to keep the kids so you can have a little break!!! I am so jealous. It sounds like you made good use of your time too. I'm glad that you have a fun anniversary. Love you!
I posted Cam's bedroom pics...check them out! It turned out so much cuter than I thought it would. I'm glad you liked that movie!
Sounds like a GREAT anniversary!!!! And we LOVE the movie August Rush too! one of our favorites!!!
Ok I just bought a pairs of those soaker shoes here for our hiking can camping trip...and I loved them...its the best shoe for that stuff, especially if your going to be in water.
Glad you had a happy anniversary.
