Looking forward to 2009 and all the fun it brings......

It's a New Year with not too much to report. We had a quiet New Years at home with our kids and missed the firework show at the Bings due to the lovely snowstorm we got. It was an early night in bed, but something that is more then needed these days. The girls went back to school yesterday and I'm enjoying having just the youngest 2 at home and the quiet it brings. I finished my babysitting job before Christmas and I know it was a good move. I've been having lovely pains all over my belly and back since Christmas so taking care of another would have been alot harder on me now. I'm back to the doctor on Thursday and hoping she'll have some advice for me on how to survive the next 10-11 weeks.....back to 2009.......we are back into the swing of things, school, sparks, piano and just everyday life. We enjoyed having Jeff around over the holidays but he has since returned to work again. We sat around the other night discussing all the fun things this year is going to bring.......the list seems to grow everytime we have the conversation.......so here is a look forward to what 2009 is bringing in our house........we will keep you all updated with lots of pictures and stories for sure......

- Looking forward to the arrival of "baby #5"......hoping that they will come early, and not be 12 lbs:)

- I am turning 30 in April.......Jeff told me I was going to be old, but Jessica quickly corrected him by reminding him that he was 33 already. What a girl!!! She knows how to put you in your place already!!!!

- Jessica's 8th birthday in May, we are looking forward to number 5 with Jake and 7 with Sarah but 8 is going to be GREAT for Jessica as she will be baptized. She is very excited about that day!!

- Summer vacation......I know when it comes I will want it to not be so long but the kids are looking forward to our camping trip to Keji.....it might be the only trip we do this summer, I don't think I'll make it to the races with a new baby......we will hopefully make it to New Brunswick too, to visit family and friends and up to the valley to the zoo!!!! Camping is top of the list for the kids though!!!

- Jake starting school in the fall, still doesn't seem possible that he is actually starting. He has made leaps and bounds over the last year with his speech and loves to learn. We were very excited to know that he will have the same primary teacher as Sarah.......she will be perfect for him.

-Piano recitals......we know we'll have atleast a couple more before school is out.....Jessica is doing so well for her first year of lessons. We are really proud of the progress she has made so far.

-Girl Guide Cookies......Sarah will be selling these with her Sparks group and is already taking "pre-orders"......you can let us know if you want any, and not pay till they come. They are the boxes that are half vanilla/half chocolate and cost $4.00......she is excited about this adventure and already has sold a bunch. She loves going every week and has a lot of fun!!!!

I'm sure that 2009 has alot more in store for us, Jeff will be out on the water as much as he can, and hopefully I'll get to occasionally join him. We are hoping that everyone is healthy and happy and that work stays busy for Jeff. I am hoping to have some more time for "crafty" things and hoping that we can finish up some more projects around the house. We know that in the next couple of years a move to a bigger house is in the books for us, but it's getting everything done before then that's the fun part. We hope that 2009 is a good year for all of our friends and family and we even hope to have some visits from "FAR AWAY" family and friends.......you know who you are!!!! We will keep you posted on all the fun in the Nelson house over the next year......

Needed a picture on the post......this girl has a BIG sweet tooth.....
she had no problem finishing off Jessica's huge lollipop!!!

I hope your baby isn't 12 pounds either! Sounds like a fun year planned! 2009 should be a good one!

Wow! It looks like you have a busy year ahead of you! I can't believe you're going to have an 8 year old daughter soon! It seems like just yesterday you were pregnant with her! :) I hope you don't have a 12 lb baby but you have set the precedent with all of your other babies! You can do it! :)

Turning the big "3-0" isn't so bad. I survived. And no matter how old I get, Brent is older.

I cannot believe our little boys will start school this year. Where has the time gone?

Good luck with the next couple of months. Hope your pains subside.

Since I see you at least once a week, I'll keep it short and sweet, lol! Please don't have a 12 pounder, Jake was very heavy when I carried him, hahaha. Seriously though I'm glad we've been able to share the last few years with you guys and look forward to sharing this year with you all.
