Why do I bother???

Who is out there reading?? I'm just wondering?? I know my Mom is.......I think she commented a few posts ago.......most of the posts lately have zippo comments.....except when Jessica's smashed her teeth up. I'm starting to wonder if I should keep this up. I know that I'm not the best blogger in the world but I am trying to be better at it this year. I've been sick the last fews days and just haven't been up to much of anything. I'm also in the process of getting stuff ready for "stampin club" on Friday so it's eating up my spare time at night. Let me know if you are there.....just even say hello......doesn't have to be a long comment.....

PS- You can't have a picture-less post......here is one of me and Jacinta from Christmas. It was so fantastic to see her and her sweet family. Her little boy is just adorable.....hope that sometime we actually get to hangout when she is in town......

Oh Barbie and Ken... so nice to see you.... and Kathy.... why do you need comments to blog? I ordered two blog books this week so maybe once they come and I show them to you, you will realize that you are blogging for your kids so they can remember what you were like when you no longer exist... Ok, at least thats why I blog and I dont even have kids. I get the comment thing though. They sure are nice... heres a tip. When you feel sad about no comments, go to your stats tab and see how many people read and don't comment. It will make you feel a wee bit better...... love you :)

Barbie and Ken...that's funny!!! I like getting comments, and I often wonder why an old lady like me writes....but it takes away my guilts for not doing a journal...very good. I don't know if this will ever really matter to anyone ( my blog) but I do feel good writing. It makes me reflect on things that matter in my day....there are times and seasons for many things....maybe you should just be a once a week blogger...or even once a month....you do have a very busy home to share your time with. I do love reading my daughters blogs, and I'm glad that you all write!!!!
LOve you...feel better

Im trying to be better at commenting. I feel the same as you though, and if It wasnt for my family I know read, but dont know how to comment, I probably wouldnt blog anymore.

I do read...I just am a terrible commenter. I try, but I read and then say I will comment later, and then I forget.
I hardly ever get comments too, but I blog only for myself now...I dont worry if people comment.
It is like my journal.

Kathy I think that blogging was HUGE at one point and everyone loved it and everyone was doing it. They were all excited about it and everyone was leaving comments. I remember when I first had my blog my average comments per post were like...18?? I think that blogging has just gotten a little old. Most people are still checking blogs and reading. Once in a while they are commenting. I know I get very few comments now. Even from my family (who I started the dang thing for anyway) very rarely reads it and most of the time they don't comment. I have slowed down on blogging just because I am sick of it! haha
I figure that I will blog when I want and mostly about the bigger things such as holidays or fun adventures that we have. I wouldn't be offended that people aren't commenting anymore because it's not just your blog that isn't getting comments. It's a lot of blogs!

P.S. I read yours...I don't always comment but I do read! And Laura is right, your kids will love to go back and look at them someday! Think of it as a family joural! :)

I read it! I am just a terrible commenter! But I have two comments for this one:

1. Laura -- your Barbie & Ken comment cracked me up!!! Thanks for reminding me of some good times! :)

2. I look like a crazy person in that picture! It must be because I was so wildly excited to see you and to have my pic taken with you! :) Hope we can hang out on one of our visits to NS. :)

Hey! I always read your blog but I'm not a good commenter! I guess I deserve the no comments on my blog too. Don't stop. I love to read your stuff.

I go in waves with commenting...sometimes I comment a lot...and sometimes I go several days or weeks or posts without commenting. BUT...I'm also a comment snob...I expect some love in return. So yes, I do tend to comment more on blogs where the blogger is relatively faithful at commenting on mine. It goes both ways....

By the way, you should DEFINITELY post a recipe every Tuesday!!!!!!!!!

I'm a reader! Not much of a commenter though. I stopped getting many comments on my blog too but I know that I have a few faithfuls out there still. I mostly just do it for my kids at this point though. I love my blog books and they're what drive me to continue blogging. Which reminds me... I haven't even uploaded my Christmas pictures off of my camera yet. Better go do that so I can get started on my 2010 blog book. Love you!

ps- can't wait to try your curry chicken recipe. I love your tasty Tuesday idea. Keep it up!

Hey Kathy,
I am always marvelling at how you have time to blog with your unbeliveably full life. Having said that it is bloggers like you that keep me wanting to update mine and I read yours all the time. I think the motto of the story is we'll all try to be better commenters. Thanks for the recipe too!! I think that's a great idea.

OK... so I am lat to comment, but I have been in internet free land on PEI and then busy with a sicko and haven't read it until now! ;-) I may not comment all the time, but trust me I do read it, I promise!! I love to live vicariously through others as I do not keep up with my blog... ;-(
Please keep it up!
